About the project
Commissioned as a birthday celebration and farewell gathering, A Time For Everything was inspired by the passage from Ecclesiastes, transforming a personal milestone into a participatory ritual of reflection, inviting guests to collectively explore change, impermanence, and the many seasons of human life through art.

HOW CAN ART HELP US EMBRACE LIFE'S CHANGING SEASONS?
Every life is shaped by moments of beginning and ending, growth and loss, certainty and uncertainty.
Rather than resisting these transitions, A Time For Everything invited participants to recognise change as a natural part of life and to collectively reflect on the beauty of each season.
THE EXPERIENCE COMBINED GUIDED REFLECTION, COLLABORATIVE PAINTING AND STORYTELLING INTO A SHARED ARTISTIC RITUAL
Designed for an intimate group of 28 participants, each person received a unique puzzle-shaped canvas inspired by the invited artist's visual language. Through unique prompts behind each puzzle piece, everyone painted their own interpretation before assembling the individual pieces into one collective artwork.
The experience concluded with a moment of reflection around the completed piece, revealing how individual perspectives together create a richer understanding of life's journey.

PARTICIPATION WAS THE WORK ITSELF.
Rather than observing an artist create, every guest became part of the creative process.
Co-creation
Collaborative Puzzle Painting
Each participant painted one unique puzzle piece responding to a life prompt inspired by the biblical passage.
Individually, every piece represented a personal reflection.
Together, they became a single collective artwork symbolising the passage of time and the interconnectedness of human experience.

Prompt System
Guided Reflection
Throughout the experience, participants explored themes such as beginnings, endings, patience, transformation, hope, and acceptance through carefully facilitated conversation and artistic expression.

BEHIND THE EXPERIENCE
