NAVIGATING BARCELONA'S ART ECOSYSTEM THROUGH DISCOVERY
About the Interface
The Artist Ally Passport was designed by XAV for A Tribe Called Art Quest, a cultural scavenger hunt connecting participants with independent galleries, creative businesses, and Artist Ally partners across Barcelona.
Each participant received a physical passport containing a prompt connected to every space along the route.
Rather than simply moving from venue to venue, participants were encouraged to observe, interpret, write, draw, ask questions, and engage with the people behind each cultural space.
The passport provided a common thread across an otherwise distributed urban experience, turning several independent visits into one connected journey through the local cultural ecosystem.
By combining navigation with reflection, the interface encouraged participants to build their own relationship with Barcelona’s art scene rather than simply being shown where to go.
